Attend regular meetings with leadership to share insights, updates and recommendations on utilisation and capacity. Act as a trusted adviser on team resourcing and workflow management. Supporting Fee Earners Build rapport with associates, counsel, trainees and paralegals to understand their strengths, preferences, workload and areas for development. Encourage and ensure timely updates of individual capacity forecasts to maintain accurate visibility of upcoming availability. Support trainee supervisors in planning appropriate and varied work allocation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with other Resource Managers to help embed a consistent, best-practice approach to resourcing across the wider organisation. Partner with Practice Management, HR, Finance, BD and Project Management to align on recruitment, secondments, people initiatives and operational improvements. Data, Reporting & Planning Produce clear, regular utilisation and capacity reports to support informed decision-making. Monitor forecasted versus actual utilisation, identifying inconsistencies and helping address underlying issues. Track holidays, absences and major workflow peaks to predict pressure points and recommend adjustments early. Play a key role in the rollout and development of a new resource management system, helping shape improved processes and routines.
